I had some great times in YOCJ, I was in it from (I think) 2000 - 2005.
It's definitely cool that there's a blog for us alumni on here haha. let's see who else feels like saying hi.

Hi everyone it's Jeanette from the flute section, 99-03. I only have contacts for about 3 other alum, but I'm sure we can all start spreading the word and get everyone here soon enough.
FYI YOCJ played a remarkable concert in Richardson last weekend--percussion & sax choir were incredible!

Hello--Miranda here, also from the flute section. Like Jeanette, I was there from about 99-03 and I bet the flute section has never been as obnoxiously giggly since! I then went to Oberlin College and now live in Washington DC where I saw two YOCJ-ers here about a month ago (Ben and Aaron Sorell). I'm still in touch with the whole flute section--they're really good friends of mine. YOCJ was a super fun bonding experience--I miss it!

Hey everybody, this is Celeste (flute, 1996-2003). I'm now a graduate student in Chicago, and I still play, with a student orchestra at Northwestern. What's everyone else up to now?

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure the few people who have found this site were in the orchestra quite a few years ago, so I'm not sure how much help we can be (I auditioned 12 years ago). It's a good group of talented students. But be confident in your abilities and just do the best you can - good luck!
